COMMUNITY STANDARDS
Keep calm and scroll on.
1. Zero political discussion
Political discussion, partisan advocacy, campaign content, political memes, ideological arguments, election disputes, and attempts to turn unrelated vehicle discussions into political debates are not permitted. This applies regardless of viewpoint. Content may be removed without evaluating which side is “right.” Limited neutral references required to explain a law, road rule, regulatory change, or vehicle policy may be allowed when they remain factual and directly relevant.
2. No hate, bullying, or harassment
- No attacks, slurs, dehumanization, exclusion, or hateful content targeting protected or personal characteristics.
- No bullying, threats, intimidation, stalking, sexual harassment, dogpiling, humiliation, or encouragement of self-harm.
- No repeated unwanted contact or attempts to continue conflict after someone disengages or blocks you.
- Disagree with the build or idea without attacking the person. When a post is not for you, keep calm and scroll on.
3. Safety and dangerous conduct
- Do not organize, promote, or glorify illegal street racing, impaired driving, fleeing police, reckless public-road stunts, or conduct likely to cause injury.
- Do not encourage drivers to interact with posts, comments, or livestream controls while moving.
- Track, off-road, closed-course, and controlled testing content should be identified honestly and presented without encouraging unsafe imitation.
- Do not provide instructions intended to defeat lawful safety systems, emissions rules, theft protection, or enforcement.
4. Privacy and consent
- Do not post another person’s precise home address, private contact information, account credentials, financial information, or other doxxing material.
- Obtain appropriate consent before deliberately featuring passengers, employees, children, private conversations, or private property.
- Do not use vehicle information, licence plates, faces, or location clues to stalk, threaten, identify, or target someone.
- Use broad profile locations and avoid publishing a live location, destination, routine, or home address.
5. Authenticity and fraud
- No impersonation, fake ownership claims, stolen-build profiles, deceptive fundraising, marketplace scams, phishing, or manipulated evidence intended to defraud.
- Clearly identify sponsored, promotional, affiliate, or commercial content where applicable.
- Do not artificially inflate reactions, follows, comments, reports, or engagement.
6. Illegal, exploitative, or graphic content
Content involving child sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate imagery, human trafficking, credible threats, terrorism, sale of illegal drugs or weapons, extreme gore, or instructions to commit serious harm is prohibited and may be reported to appropriate authorities.
7. Sexual content
Pornographic content, sexual solicitation, non-consensual sexual content, and sexualized content involving minors are prohibited. Limited non-sexual automotive, artistic, historical, or educational material may be allowed when appropriate to a vehicle community.
8. Spam and manipulation
No repetitive promotion, irrelevant links, unsolicited bulk messages, engagement bait, malware, scraping, automated account creation, or coordinated misuse of follow, report, reaction, or comment systems.
9. Intellectual property
Post only content you own or are authorized to use. Give appropriate credit where required. Copyright or trademark concerns may be sent to legal@driftlinemedia.ca.
10. Enforcement
Depending on severity, history, context, and risk, DriftLine may warn, label, limit visibility, remove content, disable features, suspend, or terminate accounts. Serious safety, exploitation, threat, fraud, or legal issues may be preserved and escalated. Attempts to evade enforcement through alternate accounts are prohibited.
11. Reports and appeals
Use in-product reporting for posts, profiles, media, builds, harassment, privacy, dangerous activity, impersonation, spam, or other violations. Send moderation appeals to moderation@driftlinemedia.ca. Urgent safety concerns may be sent to safety@driftlinemedia.ca. Do not use DriftLine instead of emergency services.
